About a month ago, I shared with you about our great game night with Forza 4 and M&M’s. My guys had so much fun playing their new game and sharing it with our friends. I knew then that Forza 5 for Xbox One would make a perfect Christmas gift, and M&M’s have always been a favorite in the stockings at our house. I had learned about the Buy, Snap, and Redeem program, so I knew I could get a great deal at Walmart. I just had to find the time to brave the holiday crowds.
It really was just as simple as I expected to get my $10 gift card from Walmart through Buy, Snap and Redeem. I just bought Forza 5 and a big bag of M&M’s in the same transaction. Then I snapped a picture of my receipt and texted it in. I got the text immediately saying that I would receive my code within 48 hours. It actually arrived less than 24 hours later.
Here are the details you’ll need to Buy Snap and Redeem your own Walmart gift card: Participating products include: M&Ms Peanut 42oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Milk 42oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Peanut Butter 38oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Pretzel 30oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Peanut 19.2oz Large Laydown Bag, M&Ms Milk 19.2oz Large Laydown Bag,M&Ms Peanut Butter 18.4oz Large Laydown Bag, M&Ms Pretzel 15.4oz Large Laydown Bag.
There is also a great “Gaming is Better with M” Instagram contest going on. You could win a prize pack including an Xbox One, Forza 5 and M&M’s just by creating and entering a piece of pixel art. Post your pixel art on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtags #FueledbyMM and #Contest. You can enter three times a day, but only until the 18th. That’s this Wednesday, so hurry, hurry, hurry! Here is one of my family’s group project pixel art entries.
Both my guys will enjoy the new video game – but I decided to give it to my Mr. Fix It. He’s always so hard to buy for! I also came up with a great idea to make the M&M’s fun for my sweetie. He’s been starting to feel his age a little more lately. He’s really sick of taking pills and not feeling as full of energy as he used to, so I made some little “pick me up” pill bottles for his M&M’s. The Grinch Pills are not a new idea. I originally saw them here. But I had ideas for other M&M colors, and I wanted to use my own verses, so I created my own labels which I’m sharing with you below. I happened to have some Avery labels (#22827) left over from another project, which were a little bigger than I needed but worked out fine when I trimmed them. But you could just as easily print them onto plain paper and glue or tape them to your bottles. (Click the image for a PDF) I bought some cheap spices (5th Seasons – 64¢ at my Walmart) and used the bottles so they’d all be the same. Here’s a tip when you get ready to take the labels off. Use a cleaner with orange oil and the glue will come off so much easier than using alcohol or nail polish remover like we used to do it.
They look so cute – and I tucked them all inside this racing themed stocking along with the game for my sweetie to find on Christmas morning. (The racing themed stocking – just a dollar store stocking with a strip of “checkered flag” fabric basted to the top – easy peasy!).
So make your favorite gaming fan a special gift for Christmas. And get a great deal with Buy Snap and Redeem at Walmart. It’s a win win!
